RIDER STRONG
Rider Strong was raised in Northern California where he had redwood trees in his backyard. Pretty cool, huh? Because his family never watched television, he had plenty of time to take acting classes. He started that at age 5, and did many small plays. His first big acting job was playing the part of Gavroche in the 1989 San Fransisco production of Les Miserables. (If you ever get a copy of the book, it's awesome!) As he got older, Rider landed a few small roles in movies including Benefit of the Doubt, The Last Hit, and Long Road Home. Also, around that time, he got a lead role as Adam in the short-lived sitcom Julie and roles on Nurses, Evening Shade, Davis Rules, Going Places, Empty Nest, Home Improvement, and Time Trax.
When he was 13, Rider got his really big break, landing another lead role as Shawn on Boy Meets World. During this time, Rider had some guest spots on shows such as Party of Five, and Mabye This Time. He also had a lead role in Summertime Switch. In 1997, Rider graduated high school as valedictorian of his class. In 1998, Rider was a presenter at the 11th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. When Boy Meets World was in its 5th season, he started going to school at Occidental College in L.A., at 17 years old. Even with classes in the morning and work in the afternoon, Rider found the time to get some more parts on other shows including a few guest spots on The Practice in 1999, a lead role in Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles, and roles in Invasion America, Batman Beyond, Superman, Disney's Hercules, The Pact, and My Giant. Rider was in the Hollywood Christmas Parade in 1999 and 2000.
After Boy Meets World ended, Rider moved to New York and went to Columbia University. He recently made an independant film with his brother called Buck Naked Arson (renamed Grad Night). His latest movie is a horror flick called Cabin Fever, which is due out in theatres this fall. Also in 2002, he guest starred on an episode of Law and Order. Rider currently does the voice of Brick on the newest Disney cartoon Kim Possible and is on a play tour for The Graduate, in which he plays the male lead.
Rider and his brother have also written, produced, and acted in a play and movie called Shades of Blue. He has also appeared on Oddville and Politically Incorrect with Bill Mahr.

My opinion of him: Will you marry me? No, but, seriously. This guy is multi-talented, witty, and very creative. (Not to mention good-looking!) I think Rider is a great actor who has a lot to offer and is capable of playing any kind of part. He has that amazing ability to make a script come alive and turn the words into his own.
he gotta eat some beef, though!
