MAITLAND WARD
Maitland Ward has been acting since 1987. In 1994, she had a big role in The Bold and the Beautiful. It was working on that show that taught her to memorize lines quickly. She also guest starred on USA High, Killing Mr. Griffin, and Home Improvement around the time she landed the role of Rachel McGuire on Boy Meets World. ABC had her contracted before they even knew what to do with her! She was originally up for the lead in Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane.
Maitland recently had a guest spot on Boston Public and was also in Dish Dogs.

My opinion of her: I guess Jack and Eric needed a roommate and what could be more fun than putting a girl in there with them? I think after she broke up with Jack, though, her character became kind of unnecessary. She was just that extra girl. I do think Maitland had her moments when she was first on the show, though. She really gave Will and Matt something to play off of.
