| Cory, still depressed over his
breakup with Topanga, shows up to a party uninvited and drunk. When Shawn decides to join his
buddy in this behavior, the two get in major trouble, and vow never to drink again. Shawn has a
hard time quitting, though, until Jack explains about their father's drinking problem and Shawn
realizes he's hurt people, too. My review: I suppose I can see Disney's point now about banning this episode. Though it teaches the right lesson about drinking, a half an hour just isn't long enough to show the realistic consequences of drinking. I think this is a really interesting episode. There aren't any subplots, and the content is very different from usual. I enjoyed seeing it very much and, while it gets a bit heavy at times, it's a great episode. make a little birdhouse in your soul Memorable Quotes: While Cory's in the bathroom drinking, Shawn knocks on the door and Cory says to himself in the mirror: "It's Shawn......my sidekick," Cory: "This was GIVEN to me when I STOLE it from my father." Cory: "This will forever be remembered as the night we peed on some police car, and what's amazing is I can't ever go with a guy standing right next to me." Shawn: "Yeah, who would have thought they made us a target on the car...that big 72?" Cory: "Well, here is to squad car 72, wherever you are..." (takes a shot). Shawn takes the bottle from Cory, finishes it off, throws the bottle, and the two watch it as it sails up into the air, and down into the ground. Shawn: "Wow...gravity!" Cory: "Hey! I was gonna put flowers in that and give them to Armanga as a symbol of my afflacktion." (Shawn giggles) "What's so funny?" Shawn: "You just said 'Armanga.'" Cory: "No, I didn't. I said 'my Manga.'" Shawn and Cory laugh; they spot a guy tearing up lottery tickets Cory: "Lose?" Bum: "Like always." Cory: "Then, why do you bother playing?" Bum: "I like to lose." Cory (offerring the guy $10): "How would you like to lose five more times?" Bum: "That's a ten. Five tickets is five dollars." Cory: "I know. How about you buy yourself five lottery tickets and buy us a six-pack with the change?" (Shawn starts walking on his hands) Cory: "Shawn, I just realized something. When I broke up with Topanga, I thought I couldn't live without her. But, here I am, alive, and standing next to my best friend." Shawn: "I'd take a bullet for you, man." Cory: "I love you." Shawn: "I'm not ashamed." they hug; the bum comes back and sees them Shawn:"Now I'm ashamed." Cory: "Here's to the best night of our lives." they get their beer; the bum runs off; they start drinking; police squad car 72 pulls up Shawn: "Uh-oh." Cory: "Stand VERY still, and we won't get in trouble." Shawn: "Why does that number look so familiar?" shpadoinkle Amy: "Cory, what if Kimberly's party hadn't been within walking distance? Would you have driven home?" Cory: "What? Drink and drive? Mom, I'm not a moron." Amy: "You peed on a cop car." Cory: "Shawn, when I left home, I was half hammered and they didn't notice a thing." Shawn: "That's what happens when you get up there in age. Your senses start to go." Shawn: "I drink because I like it; it makes me feel good." Shawn: "I've been drinking all week and you didn't notice." -submitted by: Jeffrey, Alex, Hannah, and BTMSC Back to Season 5 | Episode
