Unhappy with his job, Alan quits without even talking to his wife about it first. He and Eric are determined to start a family business. When they have trouble deciding on one, Amy buys them a store without warning to pay Alan back for his quick decision.
Meanwhile, Cory fears that his family will have no money for a while, so Shawn tries to teach him how to be poor. My review: This episode was great. It had some really funny scenes and it gave Eric a job (finally). Memorable Quotes: Eric: "Hey, Mr. Feeny. How's it going, by and by?" Mr. Feeny: "Fine. By and by." Eric: "They miss me, don't they?" Mr. Feeny: "Oh, yes. We've brought in a crisis counselor to help the students deal with their loss." Eric: "I think that's a great way to begin the healing process. Oh, you weren't serious." -requested by DJ Back to Season 4 |
Episode #70
Production #B722 Originally aired: Friday, October 4, 1996 Guest Stars: Dick O'Neill, George Wyner Directed by: Jeff McCracken Interesting Facts/Inside Jokes: In this episode, Shawn gets mad at Cory for eating meat. I know the joke was that poor people can't just grab a burger at Chubbie's, but I wonder how much this line had to do with the fact that Rider Strong, in real life, is a vegetarian. Also, Mr. Feeny claims he can't afford expensive socks because he's "a teacher, not a heart surgeon." Interestingly, William Daniels (Feeny) played heart surgeon Dr. Mark Craig in St. Elsewhere.
