Q. Is Boy Meets World out on video or dvd? Will it ever be?
A. Yes. Boy Meets World: Season 1 hit stores in August 2004, and Season 2 was released in November 2004. Season 3 should be out soon, though there is not yet a release date. I believe it is only guaranteed to be released through season 3, and sales will determine whether future seasons will be released as well. Since many fans believe the show only got better in the later years, I suggest voting on tvshowsondvd.com. That and amazon.com will have the latest info on dvd releases.

Q. What happened to Mr. Turner and Minkus?
A. Mr. Turner was last seen in the episode "Cult Fiction" (ep. 88, season 4) in which he is injured in a motorcycle accident. It is unclear as to whether he died or was too physically impaired to teach anymore. There was a joke in the Graduation episode that suggested he was still alive, but we never see him again. In episode 22 (season 1), Shawn and Cory pool all of their psychic energy to make Minkus dissappear. He is seen again in episode 113 (season 5), and he explains that he was in the "other part of the school," and points to a place off camera. Maybe that was where Cory and Shawn sent him when they wished he would dissappear? As far as why the actors left the show, I have no idea. My guess would be that they had other job offers or just decided to take a break for a while.

Q. What is that song at the end of "The Grass is Always Greener"?
A. "All I Know" by Art Garfunkel (of Simon and Garfunkel) I think the song was first released in 1973. Download it!

Q. Where can I get that great poem that Shawn wrote in episode 122?
A. Rider emailed me, and this is what he said:
"Vivian,
It's a great site you've got here...really exaustive. You definitely know your Boy Meets World. Anyway, thanks for your positive comments on the page and for caring so much. I noticed that you had 'Top of the World' on the site. I thought I'd send you the poem as it actually appears on paper -- with the right line breaks. The words are probably a little different at some points, but this is what I consider the finished version of the poem.
Again, thanks for the support,
Rider

Top of the World

You don't know it, but

Sometimes, I go to a hill that overlooks
the landscape's mask of city lights
For a sip of momentary grace.
On this brink of everything I know, I can gain
An eyeful of the lost Atlantis in the human soul,
And a breath that fills my lungs with the air between two stars.

If right now, you
Were to capture this elation
In the framework of your mind,
Or find transcendance through these words,
Then at most you would know
Nothing
Of the beauty your existence throws to me.
For mine is a love no experience,
No thought, no measure, no words
Could ever degrade into reality by virtue of degree."

Q. Where can I find more of Rider's poetry?
A. A great place to get Rider Strong poetry, old and new, is a site called Words of Wisdom.
Up
I'm crushing your head...crush, crush.
Q. Tell me everything you know about the actors.
A. All information I have on the actors and directors are in their biographies on this site. There are links to them on the pages for each season.
Up

Q. I have something to contribute to your site. Can I?
A. Absolutely. Send me an email and be sure to let me know how you'd like to be credited. I am no longer accepting quote submissions, simply because it proved impossible to put them ALL up. Instead, please sumbit quotes to the quotes section of the message board or to the Boy Meets World section of tvtome.
Up

Q. Is Ben or Rider gay?
A. Not unless one (or both) of them has a deep, dark secret and is dedicating his whole life to covering it up by having girlfriends! There were a few rumors a while back, but they aren't true. Watch the show. The subtle way they make their characters "sort of gay" from time to time could only be done by straight guys. Besides, how could a gay guy enjoy a job that's nothing but wearing pants and kissing girls?
Up

Q. Why does so much get censored on The Disney Channel?
A. The Disney Channel feels that certain things are innappropriate for their target demographic. Sometimes their censoring decisions for BMW contradict those of other shows, but I'm sure it isn't personal. They often cut out specific things because parents complain. They may overlook the same kind of line in another show. Thanks to Jeffrey for the info! ABC Family cuts certain lines and parts of scenes because of time constraints.
Up

Q. Do you have scripts or direct quotes?
A. I will try to transcribe certain lines if you ask me to. Otherwise, look for scripts and quotes on episode pages or ask in the quotes section of the message board.
Up

Q. When will my favorite episode be shown?
A. Rider Strong's tv schedule will inform you of all American airings of the show (as well as Kim Possible episodes Rider was featured in and movies that he may have done separate from Boy Meets World!). Ben Savage also has a TV Schedule through the same site. Since they were the only two to appear in every episode, those are the only two schedules that will not omit anything. In Canada, check family.ca.
Up

Q. Which episodes are banned?
A. From season 5, episodes 107 and 111; from season 6, episode 133. Disney did not show them because of content, but they do air on ABC Family and Family in Canada and will be included on DVD releases. Disney Australia shows all but "If You Can't Be With the One You Love." I believe Disney Middle East shows them all.
Up

Q. This site is stupid!
A. Different strokes for different folks, darling.
Up

Q. I saw commercials for a new show on the Disney Channel. Does this mean Boy Meets World will be kicked off?
A. The contract Disney had with the show officially ran out in August 2004, so you will be lucky to catch the show on the Disney Channel at any hour. Thanks to Jeffrey for the info! Since it started airing on ABC Family so recently, we shouldn't worry about it being kicked off that station any time soon.
Up

Q. How can I contact the actors from the show?
A. I have gotten numerous emails, asking for contact addresses. I do not have any mailing addresses or emails or anything that are valid. When Rider emailed me, he had a fanmail address at his own domain. That was the only reply address on the email, and it no longer exists. If you hear of any *official* contact information, please let me know. If I find out about any, they will be posted here. I have posted addresses here in the past, and other sites may still have addresses, but please be aware that fans have attempted to use all of them, but no one has ever received a reply, and they have often received notification of the addresses' invalidity.
Up

Q. What about Danielle Fishel? I want to contact her!
A. I have gotten more requests for Danielle's address than any other actors from the show. She used to have a public email address, but she no longer does.
Up

Q. Who made that sweet sixteen song?
A. I'm sorry. This question has become notorious for being the ONE question to which I don't have the answer. The only thing I know is that the only music person credited at the end was the usual music guy, Ray Colcord. Maybe he made the song just for that episode.
Up

Q. Who are you? What do you look like?stalkers!
A. I am Vivian. I was born in 1987, and I live in America. Oh, and I am also a GIRL. The important thing is that I'm a fan of Boy Meets World, just like you! I do not know anyone from the show personally. I have only received one email each from producer/writer Jeff Sherman, Rider Strong, and the guy who wrote and sang the season 5 theme song.
Up

Q. How can I contact Disney and give them a piece of my mind about banned episodes, dvds, whatever?
A. The California number is (818) 569-7500. Ask for Denise in the programming department. (Thanks to Jeffrey for that info.) If you want to use snail mail, here are two addresses I know of:

Michael Eisner
Walt Disney Company
500 S. Buena Vista St.
Burbank, CA 91521-1010

Rich Ross or Gary Marsh
Disney Channel

Q. Where did you go?
A. It is hard for me to update while I am in school. Therefore, I will probably only update during summer and January breaks. Sorry it can't be more, but there is plenty to look at while I'm busy!
Up
i'm seriously, you guys
Q. Where can I find audio and video clips from the show?
A. I have all of the theme songs (audio for all, audio and video for season 4) on the pages for each season. I have also been putting up audio clips of some of the lines that Disney cut out. (Thank you to DJ!) Other than that, I don't know who has clips from the show, to be honest.
Up

Q. How do you make screen captures?
A. I was lucky enough to have a MacIntosh Performa computer with Apple Video Player, which allowed me to plug cable or a vcr right into the computer and watch it on the screen. The program lets me freeze and save images (but I can't go frame by frame, I just have to be quick). I usually--no, I ALWAYS capture from the show as it is airing. It's kind of exciting. I surprise myself by having pretty good timing. I edit the pictures in Adobe Photoshop. The screen captures from the DVDs were sent to me by Jessica.
Up

Q. Will there ever be a reunion show or new season?
A. There are no guarantees in Hollywood. There's been nothing announced, yet, as far as I know, but I'll keep you posted. Reunions seem likely to me, but they probably won't reunite until an anniversary (and I don't mean a 3-year anniversary, it would have to be a big one!).
Up

Q. Is there a place where we can chat about Boy Meets World?
A. Yes. In addition to those, feel free to chat with me and other fans on AOL Instant Messanger. My screen name is thatsmybutters, and I'll be happy to start a chat!
Up

Q. Are you selling your tapes of the show? If not, where can I get some?
A. I technically have tapes of the show, but you would not want them. They are Disney versions recorded on the slowest possible speed with commercials and horrible transitions. I won't make and/or sell copies. Please just buy the DVDs or take you chances on Ebay.
Up

Q. What network shows Boy Meets World and what is the time-slot?
A. The Disney Channel rarely shows it anymore. If they do, it is on very late at night. ABC Family shows it in the afternoons, and I believe the Family Channel is still airing the show in Canada. Go to Rider's current month television schedule or check your local listings for the most current info, as specific time-slots tend to change frequently. In Canada, check family.ca for specific time-slots on the Family Channel.
Up

Q. Why were there so many siblings on the show that were introduced once and never mentioned again?
A. Yeah, Topanga had a sister, Shawn had a sister and another half-brother, etc, etc... It's a sitcom! What can you do? A lot changed as the show was developing. Of course, if you stay up all night thinking it all through, it can all be justified (trust me, I've done it). And, remember, just because someone's not mentioned again doesn't mean they don't exist anymore! Do any of us hang out with all of our friends and all of our family members every single day? Of course not!
Up

Q. Why did the Disney Channel show only three different theme songs, and where can I get the three that are missing?
A. ABC Family shows all of the original theme songs. However, only three of the six original theme songs will fit into the time allowed on the Disney Channel. For some reason, they do air all six in other countries. DJ from Australia was kind enough to send me the theme songs for the first three seasons. They can be downloaded on the pages for those seasons (
1, 2, 3).
Up

Q. Why can I no longer email Rider Strong or access his website?
A. Rider has decided to retire the site. It was a fun eight years, but all great things come to an end.
Up
q. why are there secret messages here?
Q. Did they ever show the three banned episodes on the Disney Channel?
A. I only know for sure that they showed The Truth About Honesty at least once (October 7, 2000). I, myself, have never seen a banned episode air on Disney.
Up
a. sh! don't give away the secret of the easter eggs...
Q. I used to be older than Cory. Now I'm younger. What's going on?
A. ABC loves to skip shows ahead so they can show the characters at different ages--especially when the actors are older than the characters they're playing. For those of you who are confused, Cory and his friends were in sixth grade in season 1, seventh in season 2, presumably eighth for a few episodes at the end of season 2, ninth in season 3, eleventh (yet still 15 years old) in season 4, and twelfth in season 5. They started college in season 6 and season 7 covered their second and third years of college. It's confusing, but the producers wanted to widen the audience by making the characters older and more relatable to different age groups.
Up

Q. What was that quote that Topanga put in her yearbook in season two?
A. Right here. Many quotes that have been requested can be found on their episode pages.
Up

Q. How many signatures will it take to convince Disney to show the banned episodes, and when will they read the petition?
A. The Disney Channel did heed our cry by airing all of the episodes on their sister station, ABC Family, and by releasing the show on DVD, uncensored. Disney Australia was convinced to show two of the three, and a lot of it had to do with the petition.
Up

Q. In the tag of the Disney World episode, Morgan's dialouge was bleeped. Was that a Disney cut? Did she really swear?
A. No. You can tell that she's not mouthing anything offensive. They would not tell an eight-year-old girl to look like she's saying any specific swears. Also, it's not a cut made by Disney since it aired on ABC the same way back in 1996.
Up

Q. I noticed that the episode, "The Eskimo" was dedicated to, presumably, the memory of a young girl named Ariel. Who was she?
A. I don't know for sure, but my assumption would be that she was a close friend or family member of someone who worked on the show.
