Shawn goes on his first date since he broke up with Angela and does nothing but mope. (Cory would try to get them back together, but they put Topanga and him under a restraining order.) When Angela shows up with a date at the same restaurant, Shawn tries to act like he's having fun. Each couple joins a karoke contest, but Shawn can't get through the song without thinking about Angela. Afterwards, he thinks something must be wrong with him. Why else would he kill the relationship he had with the only woman he really loved?
Meanwhile, Alan fears he'll be too old to take care of a new baby, so he plans to buy a motercycle to prove he's still young. Also, Eric helps out at his mom's child birth class. My review: Cory and Topanga's Karoke performance was classic and great, but this episode was mostly sad. When Shawn's all depressed on his date and Cory says "You used to be so good at this! You were the king! He was the king!" I always get nostalgic for the episodes in which Shawn was the ladies' man. Back to Season 6 |
Episode #125
Originally aired: ABC, Friday, January 8, 1999 Directed by: Kevin Tracy Guest Stars: Jeanne Jackson, Kirsten Nelson, Heather Marie Wayne, Karim Prince What Disney cut out: Eric is reading a book on pregnancy and he says "Check this out" to Jack and Rachel (who are eating). Then there's a cut and Rachel says "I'm done." He actually says, "Check this out. It says here the uterus has accordion like folds that can expand to accommodate a baby up to 22 pounds. Man, women are so lucky." Then Jack says, "Eric, I'm eating." Right before Rachel decides she's done, Eric says, "It also says here that when a woman breaks her water she's actually lost her mucous plug." Thanks to DJ for the info! Download the sound clip!
