Later, Betsy went to Hollywood and, before getting the role of Amy Matthews on Boy Meets World, landed guest spots on Paradise, Down Home, Guess Who's Coming for Christmas?, Family Ties, Baywatch, The Hogan Family, and The Nightmare Room; and had a recurring role as Karen on Home Improvement from 1992-1993.

My opinion of her: I'm not looking to insult anyone, but I probably wouldn't have picked Betsy Randle to play the part of Cory's mom. It isn't that she's not a good actress, it's just that most of the lines they gave her were tough to pull off (like when she had to tell Cory he was "dog meat"), and she kind of sounded too mean when she said them. Of course, this may have been the fault of the writers or directors or I may just be thinking this because my own mom is extremely nice. Maybe most mothers are a little mean.
