| In this pilot episode, we take a peek into the life of 11-year-old Cory Matthews, a sixth grader who lives next door to his teacher. Cory is having a bad day. First, he gets detention for listening to a baseball game on the radio instead of paying attention to a lesson on Romeo and Juliet. Then, his brother, Eric, decides to take a girl to the Phillies game instead of Cory! Feeling like he hasn't a friend in his house, Cory moves into his treehouse until Mr. Feeny explains to him that love is more complicated than he thought. My review: If I'd worked at ABC and seen this pilot, I'd have ordered some episodes, too! The plot of this episode is pretty basic, but you can feel something special right away- it isn't like other sitcoms. Even if you don't enjoy the plot, you'll want to see it. Lily Nicksay is an amazing actress even at five years old and Ben Savage and Rider Strong are just adorable!
