After seeing a film-strip in class on puberty, Shawn quickly falls in love with a girl and asks her out. Cory is sure he isn't ready to date girls yet, but he asks Topanga out anyway just to keep up with his friend.
My review: Because it marked Cory and Shawn's first dates, this was a very special episode. As usual, Topanga was funny. In fact, the entire plot of this episode was humorous. This was one of the best of the first season. It was also the first one that got us thinking that Cory and Topanga would make a cute couple someday (forshadowing). Memorable Quotes: Shawn: "Tell me something. How do you ask a girl out?" Cory: "Simple. You open the door and say, 'Get out, you're bothering me.'" Shawn: "No, like, on a date." Cory: "Well, Eric uses the shotgun approach. He just dials random numbers until he hears the word 'yes.'" Shawn: "Sounds like a lot of work." Cory: "Yes. And, after all that, what have you got?
