AND THEN THERE WAS SHAWN

Cory, Shawn, Topanga, Angela, and Kenny all get detention together. Things get scary when they all get locked in and discover a bloody warning on the chalkboard-"NO ONE GETS OUT ALIVE!" Then Kenny gets killed. When Jack and Eric arrive, they all work together to try to find out who the killer is. At first they think its the creepy janitor, then Feeny, then the new girl- Jennifer Love Feffermen. But, when they all get killed, too, the students realize it must be one of them!

My review: Am I the only person who was scared to death when first viewing this episode? It's scary, man! Very scary and yet very, very funny. A great episode.

Memorable Quotes:

Kenny: "Hey, Topanga, can I borrow your big pencil?"
Shawn: "They're not divorced, Kenny! It's just a trial separation. And don't think I don't know what 'borrow a pencil' means, ok? Nobody-NOBODY-has borrowed more pencils than Shawn Hunter."
Cory: "Thanks for not getting in the middle of this."
Mr. Feeny: "We'll return to The Young and the Restless after this word from Feeny. And here is the word: Shut up!"
Shawn: "Mr. Feeny, I'm sure, if you recall the pain of being stabbed in the back by a girlfriend--"
Topanga: "I didn't stab him! He stabbed me!"
Cory: "Oh, I'd stab myself before I'd stab you. Kenny, give me that pencil!"
Kenny: "I don't have one!"

Shawn: "Something horrible is about to walk in that door right NOW!"
(The door swings open to reveal Eric and Jack.)
Eric (in Mr. Hankey's voice): "Howdy-ho!"

(Kenny is pinned against the wall with a pencil through his head. He drops down, leaving a pencil mark down the wall)
Cory: "We'll always remember he was that tall."
Eric (in Stan's voice): "Oh my God! They killed Kenny!"

Shawn: "Angela?"
Angela: "Yeah?"
Shawn: "You sick of screaming?"
Angela: "Yes."
Shawn: "Then don't look in here"
(everyone yells)
Cory: "There's, like 15 retainers in there!"
Shawn: "And this." (holds up the body of the dead janitor)
Angela: "Oh-me-ok. Aaaah!"
Eric: "Wait a second! The killer's dead! We're off the hook! Up top!"

Topanga: "Look, none of us is the killer. There has to be someone else in here and there has to has to be another way out. Somebody has to find a way out."
Eric: "Fine. I'll do it. I'm the oldest."
Jack: "Actually, I'm the oldest."
Eric: "Yeah, but I've lived the longest."
Jack: "Ok. Fine. You go."
Eric: "Alright, so...what just happened here?"
Cory: "You get to stay out here all by yourself."
Eric: "Oh, good!"
Cory: "Gook luck."
Eric: "Thanks, man."
(Eric is left alone in the hallway)
Eric (nervously imitating typical shock music in horror movies): "Dun-dun-dun. Dun-dun-dun. Dun-dun-AAH!"
Feffy: "Excuse me."
Eric: "Killer! Killer! You're the killer! And I know you're going to tell me you're not the killer because you're beautiful and you think I'm going to believe you, well I'm not! This is just like that movie Killer, Killer, You're the Killer and I knew that you were going to tell me--"
Feffie: "I'm not the killer."
Eric: "I believe you."

Angela: "Well, is any one of us safe?"
Shawn: "Yeah, virgins. Virgins never die."
Cory (to Topanga): "Alright! Thanks for saving me."
Eric: "I'm dead."
Jack: "I'm dead."
Shawn: "Well, I'll get as sick as you can get without actually dying."
Angela: "What about Feeny? He's dead."
Eric and Shawn: "Hey! Go Feeny! Go Feeny! Go go go Feeny!"

Originally aired: ABC, 9:30pm, Friday, February 27, 1998
Directed by: Jeff McCracken
Guest Stars: Trina McGee-Davis, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Richard Lee Jackson
Interesting Facts/Inside Jokes: This episode was a spoof of the popular horror flick "Scream." Also, Jennifer Love Hewitt (playing Jennifer Love Feffermen) was in the horror film, "I Know What You Did Last Summer." Interestingly, she was dating Will Friedle at the time of this episode.
Angela's last name was revealed in this episode. "Moore" means "dark-complected" in Old French and comes from "Maurice," which comes from the Latin for "dark-skinned." Get it?
There were also some references to South Park in this episode: lines like "Howdy-ho!" and "Oh my Gosh! They killed Kenny!".
you bastards
What Disney cut out: In the Disney version, Feeny says, "This class will not be more interested in the romantic goings on of its students than it is with whatever I'm teaching!" In the original ABC version, he says, "...whatever the hell I'm teaching."
